Corolla Sketches is an installation composed of ten wearable sculptures, with a stylized shape of flower corollas, activated thanks to the participation of children.
Responding to the need for distance imposed during the acute phase of the epidemic by Covid-19, from the pictorial medium and gestural lines, I developed a wearable sculptural work, where the profiles of the petals are presented as essential graphic synthesis.
Each sculpture consists of flexible petals made of rubber tubes containing acrylic paint in a varied color spectrum. The work is activated every time someone decides to wear it, transforming the floor, and the space, into a sheet on which to draw a flowery landscape.
Every child is invited to move in space spontaneously, modifying their own experience of fruition, creating choreographies, imagining themselves as a moving flower, embodying its delicacy.
