The photographic project SICILY KAWAII was born looking at the countryside, named “Sciara”, of Marsala and Mazara del Vallo.
“Sciara” is a term of Arabic origin that means arid, sterile, and it indicates a landscape of Mediterranean scrub with limestones rocks of the Pleistocene era. I interacted with it through site-specific interventions using candies of different shapes and colors.
